History

1987 - H. Docherty Ltd (later Docherty Group) a manufacturer and distributor of flue systems starts to offer supply and installation as part of their service.
1999 - Dedicated department set up to offer supply and installation on commercial projects as part of Docherty Group, the largest independent manufacturer and distributor of flue and chimney products and heating appliances in the UK.
2012 - Docherty Projects set up as a separate division within Docherty Group.
2015 - Docherty Projects Ltd established as a separate company as the result of a management buyout.
2018 - Name changed to Falcon Flues Ltd.
2019 - Moved to new premises and opened a warehouse supplying flues, stoves and chimney fans.

Our Team

Dedicated, experienced and innovative

The team at Falcon Flues are all fully dedicated to providing our customers with a first class service and we welcome customer feedback in order to strive for continuous improvement. Within the team there is a huge wealth of commercial and industrial experience gained from working both within and outside the industry. Every member of the team at Falcon Flues is instrumental to the quality of service we provide but these are some of the senior management team members:

Mark Dearie

Managing Director

Mark first worked in the industry in 1987 helping to set up a commercial supply and installation division for a leading manufacturer and distributor of flue products. He then spent many years in the corporate sector managing global projects for multi-national clients before moving back into the construction sector. He re-joined the flue industry in 2008 and in 2015 set up Falcon Flues.

Sam Waters

Project Director

Sam has been in the industry since 1988 working originally as a Flue Installation Engineer for a number of flue companies until 1999 when he joined a leading flue specialist as Installation Manager for the commercial projects team. He joined Falcon Flues in 2015 and is now Project Director with overall responsibility for project delivery.

Andy Swan

Estimating / Design

Andy has worked in the flue industry since 1984 and has worked as a Flue Installation Engineer, Branch Manager and Contracts Manager. Andy was also one of the original team members, joining Falcon Flues in 2015 and now has overall responsibility for estimating and design.

Training & Certification

We take our responsibilities for health and safety very seriously and are accredited within the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) as well as SafeContractor.

Along with industry specific training you can be assured that all our employees as well as any specialist subcontractors we employ have the requisite certification to ensure all works are carried out with health and safety to the forefront.
